Rory Freedman named VegNews' "Person of the Year"

Rory Freedman has a lot to be proud of: she’s the coauthor of the #1
NY Times best seller, Skinny Bitch, which has two million copies in
print, translations in more than twenty languages, and has spent over
a year atop the NY Times best seller list. But Rory’s biggest source
of pride is being an animal rights activist. Freedman, a vegan
vigilante, penned the series for one reason—to educate the masses
about factory farms and slaughterhouses. But she smartly packaged and
marketed Skinny Bitch to appeal to mainstream women, who would never
otherwise learn about the horrors of the meat and dairy industries.
Rory set out to do nothing less than change the world, one person at a
time. But she managed to reach millions. Perhaps that’s why VegNews
magazine named her their first ever “Person of the Year.” One person
can make a difference.
